On April 10, 2014 the above named contractor started cement repair and painting which also included $50.00 for painting the driveway black.

Instead of using driveway sealer the contractor used Karnack Roofing Tar, which up to today is not completely dry.  When the temperature is in the high 70's it get's very sticky.  From April 10, 2014 I am still unable to park the car in the driveway.

I continually call and he still will not answer my calls.  I had to contract two (2) day labourers which costs me $450.00 for two days plus materials listed below to clean the tar off the driveway as much as possible so we could at least walk on it.

I am seeking a refund in the amount of $938.92 which is itemized below:

Materials for clean up                                    $293.80

Labor for clean up                                          $450.00

Initial Charge for painting                             $   50.00

Initial Supplies for driveway painting         $145.12

TOTAL                                                                $938.92

Thanking you in advance for any help that you are able to offer me.

You know that old saying:  If it sounds too good to be true...it usually is too good to be true.

Painting a driveway is useless. The suggestion of painting the driveway should have been a tip off to you. But, now you know. Take the contractor to small claims, individually and corporately so you get reimbursed for the extra funds you had to spend to do the job right. If he doesn't have money, you can at least get a judgment against him. Good luck
