When traveling recently on I-75 North, I noticed a State trooper sitting 100 feet inside the transition from normal highway traffic to a work zone. He was running radar and if I hadn't stomped on the brakes, thereby potentially causing an accident, I would have gotten a speeding ticket. It seems this strategy is the meand of support for the local governments and a way to line their pockets in an unfair way. Come on people, there must be some other way of supporting the head honcho fat sheriff who doesn't even leave his office. I will be boycotting any town where I see this practice and wanted to ge the word out to other who do the same.

So, you were speeding then?  You freely admit this by stating you would have gotten a ticket if you hadn't stomped on your brakes.  You realize, had you caused an accident, you would have been at fault.  I'm sure the trooper would have been happy to write that report.  Just don't speed.  Simple as that.
As for your comment's regarding the sheriff, if the State Patrol writes the ticket then the county will see very little of the money because it will usually wind up in state court and not municipal.  If you're going to boycott every town that has law enforcement run radar, you better head somewhere and start your own.  They all do it.  Safety, or revenue for the hacks that wanna speed and complain when they get caught, is important to every city/state.

Do the crime, do the time (or pay the dime I guess would be more appropriate with speeding tickets).

But that is just my humble outlook on matters.  Some will agree, some won't.  Lovely thing about being able to speak your mind in a free country.

You're upset because there was a cop parked in a work zone that prevented you from speeding through that work zone?    What a ripoff!!!
