After signing up for the "Business Class" service with Adelphia and paying a total of $199 for an installation I received NONE of the services promised by Adelphia.

I never received the static IP address even after submitting the order a total of 3 times (they apparently were having trouble with their systems and this had "never happened before"). I was also told the business class service included being on a different circuit so I didnt suffer from the "usual lag" of all the residential customers being on at the same time.

Being thoroughly disgusted with the level of service I recieved I attempted to cancel service and received my $199 back in order to get service elsewhere. I am now fighting with Adelphia because they refuse to refund my money back stating it is their "policy". I have read the terms of the blanket Service Agreement and no where does it state that it is "policy" to retain the install fee.

Bottom line, I did not receive the service I paid for nor did they live up to anything the initial sales rep had sold me on in regards to signing up with them for service. I have since spoken to a couple other local business class ISPs and relayed my plight. I was told that what adelphia is selling is NOT business class service but rather a vehicle for charging IT people like myself more money with none of the benefits.
