Adelphia Publishing, Inc. consumer fraud ripoff Newport Rhode Island
I was and am going through financial problems but trying to find a way out. While looking for opportunities in the newspaper I found an add for a work at home job stuffing envelopes. They claimed to pay $10 for every envelope stuffed and returned to their company, Adelphia Publishing, Inc.
It sounded so easy and legit when talking to a live person on the phone. I gave my name and address for an information package. I got it in the mail, read it, along with other companies I'd asked info. on.
Adelphia Publishing, Inc.'s pamphlets seemed the most professional and legitimate...No grammatical errors, etc. So, I went for it paying $109 by a money order to their company. Still expecting the worst, I held back from paying around $200 for the most expensive start up package. I sent the money on April 4, 2003.
Today, April 28, 2003, I found out my money order had been cashed on April 10, 2003 and still haven't seen jack! Another person has filed a report on this company about the same thing. I just wish I would have read his report before sending money for this scam.
I hope this fraudulent, so-called company and all of it's affiliates get caught and in trouble for all they've got. To me, it's not about the money, it's the principal!
