STAY AWAY!!

 

Adi Moving Company moved us from Maryland to Florida. When the items were delivered on June 12, many items, including valuable large items were broken. The items broken are/were: Large flat screen TV, 2 floor lamps, Queen bedframe, Leather loveseat, buffet/entertainment center. We informed the company right away about our items. It took weeks to actually speak with anyone about replacement/compensation. I took time out of my work day every day to call them to try to come to an agreement. Eventually, they "negotiated" with us and told us they would write us a check for $400 (which is barely half of our damages). They told us they sent us a check, which never arrived. After waiting over 2 weeks to the check to arrive, I started calling every day and got no answer. I finally got through - they offered to send the check again, but they'll call me back with tracking number - which never happened. So, we have no money for our unusable items. In addition, when I searched their DOT number, I found that they were not allowed to be moving us during the time they did (because they had an issue with their license). It looks like they currently are out-of-service, although seem to still be operating.
 
Additionally, they purposefully left items off of our inventory list on the estimate so they can get away with charging us double for the space needed in the truck. They, of course, deny this, but I told them several times their inventory list was wrong, and they said "don't worry about it - its not that much stuff." Of course we get stuck with the bill that we have to pay, since we needed to move. They are scam artists and should not be in business.
