Do not do business with ANY company owned by Craig Revai of Edgewood Maryland. They perform substandard work, they fail to keep appointments or return phone calls.

We contracted for the installation of an inground pool liner. After numerous attempts the liner was installed, however it leaks. Connecting strips on the coping are missing and have not been replaced.

At the time they came to install the initial pool liner, their untrained immigrant service person removed the coping connector pieces, broke them and left on our patio for weeks. We have not been happy with the services we have received and we do blame the pool company since before their arrival, other than an aging liner we had no other issues related to our pool. We could give the entire history of how the first liner did not fit. How they left vacuums running and promised to return the next day and never did. How they left trash all over our yard. The service manager states that the coping connector pieces did not need to be removed to replace the liner. But we already knew this, since we installed the previous liner ourselves 15 years prior.

We began the process in September of 2007, yet they claim to have appeared as scheduled with the exception of one rain date, but if that were reality why does our issue persist in June 2008. I have located 6 other complaints and rants about this company on the internet. Many others have obtained judgments but have been unable to collect. BEWARE!

Hire an Attorney if you wish to pursue this

#6Consumer Suggestion

Tue, November 01, 2011

I am sorry to hear of your difficulties.

If you just want peace in your life this may not be worth pursuing.  These people are adept at avoiding contractual and waranty obligations, and will only spread lies about you.

If you wish to pursue I would suggest hiring an attorney.  The costs associated may be to great in relation to your losses, but that would be for you to determine.

I believe you can also file a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement commission.  They really seem to want to help people there, although I do not know if there is much they can do for you.

I wish you the best, and hope you never have an experience with people or business such as what you have here.

SENIOR CITIZENS DEFAME RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTOR

Please remember this type of web site really doesnt care about you or the truth, they care about making money for themselves so their statement on the web site let the truth be known they know is a lie. In fact when we contacted them to ask how they verify the truth their statement was you know everyone lies or in other words every complaint they post they are willfully and knowingly posting lies.

The Campbells obviously are dishonest people as well, along with apparently being racists with there comments about immigrants

We contracted with the Campbells for the installation of a new liner in there swimming pool. The pool is over 20 years old and was not built by a swimming pool professional. This was to be a fall installation and would not interfere with the swimming season in any way. When ordering a liner there are certain standard measurements required. When you measure a pool thats full of water, depending on the condition of the water and other things, you cannot always see other issues, especially issues that are related to the fact that certain aspects of the bottom might not meet industry standards.

When the liner came in we went to the Campbells home, drained the pool and attempted to install the liner. We realized in advanced that the pool was more than 2 inches out of level, and upon draining found that the bottom was very uneven, un-uniform and even convex in some areas. When we attempted to install the liner it did not fit correctly, it was very close, but due to all the unknown issues with the bottom there was just a little to much material and we just couldnt get all the wrinkles out.

Due to the time of year we did take some time trying to get that liner to fit. We waited for a warmer sunny day hoping to get enough shrinkage to allow the liner to fit. It didnt, so at our expense we ordered another liner and it fit perfectly.

Before the Campbells new liner was installed there pool was apparently leaking, after the new liner was installed the pool was still leaking, which the Campbells seamed to believe was our issue. At no expense to them we made several attempts to identify their leak. Supposedly a third party found a leak in their skimmer, which of course had nothing to do with their liner replacement.

So Im quite curious as to how these senior citizens were ripped off

There are 2 sides to every story, And we do not Rip off Anyone much less "Senior Citizens"

We are not ripping off Senior Citizens. Unfortunatly the Campbells are senior citizens and feel ripped off due to a leak in their pool that no one else can seem to find. We have searched for this leak 8 times in a matter of 7 months but it was closed for winter 5 of those months. therefore we could not do anything for those months.

My company was contracted to install a liner into the campbells old pool. It was completely and totally finished in the early fall of 2007.

We measured and ordered the liner. Once we tore the old liner out we found out how out of level the pool was and how out of square the walls were and the liner we ordered did not fit exactly to our standards so we took different messurements and ordered it again at no cost to the campbells. It took us a while and several trips back out to get perfect mesurements, but we eventually got a perfect fitting liner.

The Campbells were upset because some of their 20 year old coping got damaged in the process. We replaced the coping to the very best of our ability since they no longer make their exact coping. We installed it and they seemed fine with it. They didnt complain about it to my represenative. We gave them a few extra peices incase anymore comes off or gets damaged. There pool was finished last fall. then they started having a leak so we dove and die tested the pool. We also pressure tested the lines at no charge to them. All they contracted and paid us to do is install a new liner. We did that and we know. After extensive testing, that there is no leak in the liner itself. All the pressure testing held air so there seems to be no issues in their plumbing.Yet they still complained of a leak. The pool got closed and when they opened it the water was a little lower then where they left it so they called again for leak issues. We went back out again, at no charge. We die tested and tested the lines. Everything was fine. We replaced some old screws around the old return and for a few weeks they seemed to have no problems. When the temperature started to be in the high 90's they again thought they had a leak of 1 quarter of an inch a day. This would be normal evaporation with temperatures that high. When I explained that to Mrs. Campbell She then said oh its now leaking 1/2 inch or more a day. So again I put her on the schedule at no charge to go and search for this leak. We are going out Thursday. I can update you at that time.

So as far as them saying there pool isnt done. It is done and has been done as per their contract since the fall of 2007. This leak is another issue and whether or not it is a warrantee issue or something that they need to handle remains unknown at this time due to the fact that it cannot be found.

The represenative from my company who is looking for the leak has 15 years experience in this field and is having trouble finding any leak at all.

We are not able to do a bucket test which is the best way to determine if there is a leak or if it is normal evaperation due to the fact that they have no steps in the pool for us to put the bucket on. Therefore it is very difficult to determine whether or not there is a leak and where it may be. We have to slowly eliminate one thing at a time and wait to see if it still leaks, and that is what we are doing.
