On 07/25/2018, I discovered a large charge from Adore Me on checking account.  I verified with my wife that she hadn't used the account.  She had tried several times to cancel the account.  Someone was able to get into the account, change the default email address and the shipping address.  I spoke with Christine on Friday 07/25/2018.  She claimed that they were going to look into it and would lock the account down.  They also said that they changed the email address to my email address.  I told her that the charge was fraudulent and this account needs to be locked down.  She said that would happen.

I woke up on Sunday 07/29/2018 to find out that another large purchase was made on my card.  I called and spoke to Ariane who was unable to tell me why someone was able to still place two additional orders with my card the day before.  She repeated the same thing that Christine told me that they would escalate the issue.  She wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor, nor could she give me an answer on why someone was still able to to make a purchase on an account that was suspected of fraud.  She said that their system doesn't allow them to stop charges or orders.

Update on AdoreMe's awful customer service.

My account was refunded the amount that was stolen from us.  This morning (08/03/2018) my wife received an email about the order that "she placed".  I called AdoreMe to ask why she was getting emails about an order.  Apparently her email is on the distribution list as well as the email account that was used to hijack her account.  AdoreMe is unable to delete that email address since their Customer Service reps don't have that ability.  The person that changed the email address still has access to the account.  The Customer Service reps told me that the only way to fix this is to create a new account.  You don't have the option to delete the card on file.  Nor can you remove the other email addresses.

AdoreMe was unable to answer my questions on why my wife was getting an email about her order that she didn't place.

They were unable to answer my questions on why the hijacked account would still have access to the account.  They said that they wouldn't be able to remove the credit card until they escalated it.  This should have been done the minute the refund was issued.  The fraud email account should have been removed the minute I called to report the issue.
