I did everything I was supposed to do they either didn't accept some or said they didn't receive them!! Ok fine take the 200$ you are questioning but return the other 1,100 plus this was taken out of my husband's checks every pay period they straight up stole his money not to mention all the customer service reps don't speak English and will not connect me to a supervisor they are thieves and lying about validation just to keep his money I will be writing to the governor my husband works hard fo his money and missed out on much needed medical care because they froze his card sooo wrong

It sounds like you have an FSA account.  They are a Use it or Lose it account, which is one of their main disadvantages.  FSA's have very strict guidelines set forth by the IRS as to what it is and is not allowed to be used for.

It also has very strict guidelines as to what is acceptable as proof.  If you fail to provide this proof then they are required to suspend the account until you either pay back the questionable amount or provide appropriate proof.  I mention the payback option as if they are suspending your account over $20 it would be better to just pay back the $20 to release the other $1300.

If it is an office visit then you can use the EOB(Explanation of Beneifts) as your proof.  For Prescription Drugs you need to show the prescription number, patient name, and the amount.  If all you are submitting is something like a Credit Card receipt by itself is generally not enough proof.

Have you contacted them to find out which item(s) are in question?  Have you asked them what specifically do they need or will accept as an alternative?

You may want to check if they have any sort of grace period(most FSA plans do).  Where you still have at least a couple of weeks into the new year to make your claims for the previous  year.  As I mentioned you don't need the actual receipts, if you can contact your Health Care provider they should be able to get you what you need for any unclaimed service over the year...once you get your account unsuspended.

I am speaking from experience in this in being unable to show proof(and not understanding the payback option) lost more than you did the first year.  But since then have been VERY detail oriented and have had no issues.

Good Luck, and realize that time is probably not on your side if you do have any time left.
