2-way voice was heavily promoted by the ADT saleslady.
She said that when the alarm went off, ADT would listen in and talk back through the security box on the wall in our house.

Well, this has never worked. We had a false alarm the other day, and my wife was here, and ADT never came on the box. We have to pay the local sheriff for each false alarm, so we had hoped that the 2-way voice would minimize the false alarms. Wrong !

I tried to get the 2-way voice taken off our service, but got tremendous run-arounds; transfers back and forth between service and billing, etc. They sent a tech out to remove it, and he said there was nothing to change.

Now they want to charge me a minumum of $107 to come out and remove the 2-way voice again, since the first tech did not know what to do !

I would chose another alarm monitoring company next time. Stay away from ADT and especially their high-pressure salespeople. ADT is bad news.

Two-way voice is only $6 / month, but over a 2-year contract, that's $120 down the drain for someting that never worked as promoted. Don't waste your money.
