Adult Friend Finder, Friend Finder Inc, Alt.com ripoff personal photo, copyright, advertising without permission on other sites. Palo Alto California
It seems that aff has used my personal photo(s) for advertising on other web sites. I don't remember giving them my permission to do so. From what I have been told, all pictures, no matter where the owner posts them, are copyright and not to be used without consent.
I learned this from a very good friend that now resides on the east cost. I trust this person and can't think of any reason they would lie to me. unfortunately I haven't been able to prove this to be true, then again I was informed of this less than an hour ago.
I have no beef with aff. The site has worked for me pretty much the same as any other online site has. There are some good people on there and there are some idiots. All sites have become subjected to their fair share of bots whether doing their own advertising, hacking people's personal accounts, or just plain trying to run scams.
I am waiting on a response from aff. From previous experience trying to contact them, they are slow and usually not helpful at all.
I am hoping that someone who reads this will know of others this has happened to. Can anyone tell me if by joining aff I unknowingly gave consent for my photo(s) to be used outside of the site?
Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.

Not Only Pictures

Michelle,
Not only will AFF post your pictures on any number of their other sites, they will also use your name on search engines. If you use either Yahoo or Google search and the name you use on the AFF site, you will be surprised at seeing your site user name listed. When you click on the link it will take you to the AFF site, or another site that is owned and operated by AFF.
Hope this helps.

Michelle,
Unfortunately it is in your terms and conditions that any photos submitted become the property of AFF, and this involves any of thier sites. They have about 30 different sub domains.
Good luck
