Adultfriendfinder You get what you pay for ripoff Palo Alto, CA California
Most of the anguished claims about Adultfriendfinder (AFF) tell more about the claimants than about the company. I joined as a silver member for one month in order to do a study about the type of people who are members ----
(The study is at: http://www.velocitypress.com/sexpartners.shtml )
Here is what I discovered:
1. AFF is in the business of taking your money to offer you a chance to connect with a prospective sex partner. If you expect to find true love here, you are in the wrong church.
2. Like any business that involves sex, it is a semi-sleazy operation that, nevertheless, gives most people what they are after. Otherwise they wouldn't be in business very long.
3. AFF has a well-deserved reputation for squeezing as much out of your credit card as it can. Knowing this, don't moan and wail--subscribe using a check or money order.
4. A large portion of the men who advertises (ten times as many men do as women; half the women are lesbians) LIE about their marital status. They are married and looking for a playmate in the side. Lying to get sex? My what a surprise!
5. Since they all lie (both men and women--the women pretend they are available to anyone. But, in fact, 90% are looking for LTRs--Long-Term Relationships--and that includes a lot of sex, but not with married men.
6. I don't think AFF published the photos and bios in their search database--they don't need to. Their subscribers do it for them. so if a lot of the descriptors are false, as many probably are, blame the caliber of the people who subscribe. However, AFF definetly tries to lure non-paying members into becoming members by posting fraudulent bios.
7.NEVERTHELESS, many, many of the subscribers ARE real people looking for sex--but only on their own terms. I suspect there are also a fair number of women who enjoy showing photos of their breasts and enticing horny men--but only for that thrill. They have no intention of answering any requests. Well, its their money!
So all the caterwauling about the crooked management seems beside the point. This is adult sleaze; enter at your own risk. Many ADULTS have got out of the operation what they want--a sex partner for long or short-term fun. If your task is to complain about human greed and short-sightedness, you're probably wasting your time--and that of the readers of RipOff Report.
