Recently, I just noticed on my credit card bill.

13 JUN ADV-ONLINE.NET 916-812-0187 CA 7.99

My first call to the credit card company:

The operator told it's some kind of online
ADVERTISEMENT fee. I have no clue what this
ADVERTISEMENT all about. I didn't order it or sign
up for it. I told him to freeze my account. He refused
and told me to call back on MONDAY, today is Saturday.

My second call to the credit card company on the same day,
since I wasn't happy with the respond. I call back again.
I told the operator am very concern about this ADV-ONLINE.NET
transaction and I have not order such service.
She said fine, will wave your $7.99 transaction and
notify us right away if you see the same transaction
again. I will call their office on Monday too.

Here are some infomation I duggup on the web of who own

Charges From Internet Companies

#7Consumer Suggestion

Mon, May 19, 2003

I found the report on charges made to individuals who were charged by internet sites or they may have purchased something from an internet site and were unhappy with the results, either they didn't get what they wanted or were unhappy with what they got.

Here is my solution.

GoDaddy Software is right in the fact that they are not-affiliated with the company. If you go to their website you will see that you can purchase a domain name for yourself. Everyone has the right to purchase a domain name. Its like having a phone number. The only association godaddy has with these companies is the fact that the company registered a name through them. What if ADV-ONLINE.NET orWELCOMEHOME2002.COM were registered through Network Solutions???? Whould Network Solutions be held responsible.

GoDaddy did not process any charges made by these two companies. These two companies would have to have a merchant account to do so. Why not find out what company was processing the charges for them and get redemption that way. Also, these individuals who registered names must have a hosting account with another company to keep their websites online... why not contact them as well and lay a finger of blame on them as well. You can find out the host company by looking at the DNS information.

Rip-off Report received several e-mails that reveal their true feelings about these scams. This company sent us the following and we responded:

Dear Brad,

Thank you for bringing the error to my attention. The correct link for the subject scam is as follows:

http://ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=26042

http://ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=23468

We will remain engaged in this matter because this has been reported to various agencies, including yourselves without results. We are especially concerned because of the growing number of disreputable businesses you represent.

We have previously brought to your attention the problem with welcomehome2002.com and renewing of a domain name, to which you have not responded.

In particular, we need more information on how to contact adv-online.net and welcomehome2002.com

If you are sincere about taking care of the concern of these victims you will work with us.

Very Sincerely,

Frank Torelli

Hi Frank,

I have made a rebuttal to both of the (unfair) complaints and frankly I think your company should be ashamed for allowing these to remain on your site. You know as well as I do that Go Daddy has nothing to do with this, why would you call me?

I think I understand how you work, take the money from the people who are complaining then bother companies (unfairly) to make them pay, and do you know what they call that? Extortion!!

These complaints are completely bogus, it's like blaming AT&T for getting a prank call, get it, Frank?

DO NOT CONTACT ME ANYMORE, FRANK. YOUR NOONE I'D EVER WANT TO WORK WITH.

Brad Kline.

WHY DID YOU INCLUDE THE BBB? Never mind, don't answer that.

You arrogant SOB. You don't work WITH me... you work FOR me. You are my servant. I will continue to contact you as long as you continue to be a vehicle of rip-offs. That's my job. Take some responsibility for the shameless companies you represent. You obviously don't care what people do with the service you provide as long as you get your filthy lucre.

I have had enough of your brand of amoral commerce. We see time and time again how people like you are going down... legally. Once you are notified of abuse, you must take action and that is why we told you. Don't try to pretend you don't know you enable these people who are doing this.

Extremely,

Frank Torelli

Not Affiliated? ..My @$$

This individual provides an answer from the Office of the President of Go Daddy Software. They are very hostile to this process and accuse us of extortion, which is ironic, because they are members of the Better Business Bureau, which actively charges a fee to companies to keep their record clean for unsuspecting victims. Check it out, call the Phoenix BBB. Ask about Go Daddy... how can they have a clean record when we have personally reported them

------------------------------

I am taking my time to make a rebuttal to inform all of the people that may view this site that Go Daddy Software is a registrar (an ICANN accredited company who sells domain names [e.g. nike.com]) who has NO affiliation with ADV-ONLINE.NET or WELCOMEHOME2002.COM the domain names are merely registered with Go Daddy.

I believe the person who has made this complaint, coupled Go Daddy with this company unfairly and without taking the time to learn the facts of how this industry works. I will make no apologies as Go Daddy has done nothing wrong.

The frustration of this person is eminent, but, I believe it's a good lesson to everyone reading this--KNOW WHO YOUR GIVING YOUR MONEY TO. Contact them, ask for credentials anything....Don't be so lazy and naive and start waving your credit card around then blame whomever you please because you have been taken!!!
