I purchased a 99 Ford Contour from them almost 2 weeks ago.  When I was driving it to work the next day it died on the interstate.  Turns out it was a 6 year old battery, so I replaced it.  When we were driving it back it cut out two more times so we decided to check the spark plugs.  After taking off the spark plug wires, which leads into an enclosed recessed area for the spark plugs, there was standing oil and water deep enough to cover the spark plugs completely.  So I put on a new head gasket and spark plugs, then drove it to work that next week.  It died as I was leaving work.

I called them and the only thing they were willing to do was to have me pay to have it towed back to them and then pay them for any repairs before I could get the car back.  I would also have had to make my payment even if they did not complete the repairs before then.  So my brother and I took it back to our place and started to look into the problem our selves and found the spark plugs were caked and not working correctly.  After changing them I whent and filled the gas tank only to have the car die on me again.

It is clear to me that these people do not do any presale inspection or maintenance of the cars they sell.  They are definitely a buyer be ware company.

(Deadbeat) car lot?

If so, all repairs are on you.

It is my hope you and your brother can come up with a solution to get the car running properly.

Sincere best wishes to you on that. Wish I could offer advice, but I'm an absolute useless mechanic.
