Complaint Review: Advanced Business Services/ILD

Around the middle of Jan 2009 I recieved a call from someone "verifying" my business yellow page ad. They asked to me to verify my name address phone number. I can almost remember something about a service of course and I said NO. Money is tight right now and my business partner and I are not spending any money unless we have too.

Since then I recieved a letter from a company called business direct online saying we joined there program and if we dont call immediately to cancel our service we would get billed for some web hosting ( We already have a web hosting service). Ironically all these companies operate under some "ILD Services" name.

Fast Forward to Feb 8 2009 I then recieve a letter from a company called Advanced Business Services saying if we want there fax service we just have to log into "our acccount". We have our own fax line why would we need to add other fax services??

Calling the company A.B.S., the lady on the phone tells me someone authorized it and it is recorded. I said great let me hear it! Of course they would call me back in a day or two to let me hear it.

They said they would reverse the charges.

I dont expect a phone call but will wait and see. I then proceed to ask her how they are affliliated with ILD Services and she informs they are the same company.

To put salt in a wound even more this is the same company that we unknowingly paid money to in 2008 for the same type of services. When we did figure it out they credited several months but we think we still paid a month or two of it.

There are only two of us in this company and we do not spend any money unless we talk with each other concerning it.

This is a scam of large proportion. There needs to be a large lawsuit so they will be made to get verifiable proof of someone authorizing this on there phone bill.

Conclusion:

Unless they represent they are your phone company calling for your new phone ad just hang up the phone it is probably ILD scamming people.
