Complaint Review: Advanced Cleanse

I ordered both the Acaci Berry and Advanced Cleanse on March 2, 2010.  I called to cancel them on March 8th, 2010 because I hadn't received either product and was worried that it was a scam. 


 I spoke to a guy on the phone and he asked me what product I was canceling for and I said BOTH of them.  I even listed which products.  He asked why and I said that I hadn't received them yet.  He then canceled the orders for me and gave me a cancellation number.  He made it seem like the cancellation number was for BOTH products.  Especially since I told him I wanted to cancel them both AND I double checked and asked.

March 15th, I get an email saying my card was charged for full membership of 169 dollars for the Advanced Cleanse.  I immediately called the company and the woman I spoke to informed me that the previous guy only cancelled the Acaci Berry and not the Advanced Cleanse and then gave me an email to request a refund.  

I was declined a refund after sending them an email and then called and spoke with Angela Brown (Number 022) who repeated herself over and over about how I only had one cancellation number so only one product was cancelled.  I explained to her that I cancelled BOTH and it was his mistake.  And that she could even hear my request in the recorded phone conversation.  She told me that without the agents number she couldn't find information.  I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said she was one.  

I called my credit card company and they are going to investigate this for me.  But I shouldn't have to! 

I even explained to Angela that why would I call to cancel one product well within the 14 day period and then cancel the second one days later without even receiving products with the 169 dollar membership!!  Logically if I wanted to cancel BOTH I would have done so on the first phone call, like I did.  And if I only wanted to cancel one, I would have used the membership I paid for.

I am not an angry person.  And I am extremely rational.  This however, really makes me angry.  Especially the way I was dealt with on the phone.  

If this was a real company and not a scam I would have been refunded immediately for their mistake.  I did read the fine print and I did act appropriately and timely.  

AVOID this company!!!
