We have a great product and have been marketing it on our own. In May we were contacted by Advanced Marketing Systems and convinced that they could market our product faster and better then we could, we sent them $7,000.

They were to send media kits to catalogs that would be likely to carry our product. They instead sent them to 80 catalogs that would never have carried a product like ours. They were to send press releases to herbal, gardening and natural living magazines...instead they sent them to womens magazines.

They created a terrible TV ad for us and promised phenominal sales...we got no orders what so ever.

I am in contact with 19 other companies who have had the same experience with them...all with no sales. We are planning a class action lawsuit. If you have been scammed too, contact me for details.

Small claims better bet

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, December 30, 2002

Yow, seven grand is a bunch of money to lose. Unfortunately for you the marketing company did do some marketing. No court will allow you to become unjustly enriched--in other words, something for nothing.

I suggest you drop the idea of a class action and take this to small claims to demand a partial refund. Better yet, you can try to negotiate a partial refund from the marketing company as well. They may rather pay back some money than go to court.

Good Luck,
TFC
