I hired these guys from Craigslist in San Luis Obispo, Ca. They said that they were a licensed moving company and that they had insurance... it was all lies.  These guys showed up and the first thing I noticed is that their clothes smelled like they've been smoking marijuana. They weren't organized and didn't know how to load the truck properly.

I caught them opening boxes and they said that they 'had to make sure nothing was fragile in the boxes". When they unloaded the Uhaul truck at our new address, items were smashed, broken & ruined.  They banged the walls & scratched the furniture when bringing the items in the house. They dragged our new mattress on the ground which totally destroyed it.

We weren't happy when they said if we didn't pay them extra , they wouldn't finish unloading the truck and they would keep our furniture.  We needed our stuff, so we paid them the extra $100.00 and they left We found out later that they had broken our TV and a couple of antique pieces. They had also stolen my mothers jewelry and a camera from the boxes that they were going through.

We called them and found out that they don't have insurance and they gave a fake license number. Police said that it's a civil issue (since we didn't actually "see them take the items". These guys are not advertising as "Advanced Moving Professionals" at this time. But they are still advertising as "licensed & Insured Moving, Packing & Hauling" and they are still on Craigslist.

Do NOT Hire these guys or anyone else from Craigslist unless the can show you proof of being a legal business.

Estimated damage to our stuff: $1,600.00
Estimated stoled items: $1,200.00
