The company, Advanced Telecenters responded to a quote request for lead generation telemarketing services I submitted through BuyerZone.com.  I was contacted by a very engaging gentleman, Michael, who seemed competent and professional.  I was assured that Advanced Telecenters would write a very high quality script, would engage experienced telemarketer(s) and generate leads on around 2% of calls.

The script was very poor so we re-wrote then revised several times to make it easier for the telemarketer to generate leads.  Results:  zero leads produced in "60 hours" of calling.  We objected based on zero results received (is at least 1 or 2 leads too much to ask?).  After many attempts to engage with the owner, we received a refund offer of $100 -  3.1% of the amount we paid - even though only 42% of the calling was completed per the written agreement.

Bottom line: I've learned that telemarketing, like other marketing efforts, cannot yield "guaranteed" results so a business owner must consider the possibility of total failure.  However I've also learned that an ethical telemarketing service provider would make substantial efforts to provide some result to a client - greater than zero.  In my opinion, Advanced Telecenters doesn't care about the client which questions their integrity.  My company was ripped off so buyer beware.
