Advanced Video Technology, Inc. Took almost a year to repair Deerfield Beach, Florida
I had a Dell 3200mp projector that became defective, (after a minute or two it would only project a black screen with what looked like a star field of white dots.)
I contacted Advanced Video Technologies who said they would inspect it for $150. I sent it in and was told there was a defective board that would cost $225 to replace. I authorized the repair. This was in April of 2010. After numerous emails and phone calls (thankfully they have an 800 number) I received my unit in August of 2010. I used it for 2.5 hours and the same thing happened again.
I ended up buying a used Dell 3400 projector off ebay to use at the seminars because this unit was not repaired timely. (I paid less for the used 3400 than the cost of repairs to the 3200.)
They told me to return it for repair. Again after numerous phone calls where I was told it was waiting for parts or it was being tested and "I'll get back to you tomorrow" it is now finally being shipped back to me, almost a year after it was first sent in.
I probably should wait to finish this complaint until I get the unit back and can test it.
Anyway, I would avoid using this company to service your electronics as they are slow, have nothing but excuses and do not follow up as promised. If you're local and your brother-in-law is an ex-defensive end for the Miami Dolphins or a defenseman for the Panthers and you can check in physically you might get better service.
