Complaint Review: Advanced Wellness Research Inc.

This complaint is about Advanced Wellness Research Inc.'s business ethnic. It is still unknown if the product (Pure Acai Berry) is any good.

I was initially foolish to go for the $4.95 trial thinking that the product must surely be great with a program like that. I've been shopping on line for years with a very low percentage of disapointments. I was dumb enough to lower my guard on this one.

I travel a frequently for a living. Upon arriving home one day I gladly received my product sample out of the mail box and proceeded to take care of some pending office work. When I looked at my checking account balance on line, I was shocked to find that these clowns had added 5 separate charges to my account!

I was furious and called the 1-800 number. The "customer service" agent was well versed on wearing down a complaining customer. The conversation continually went in circles with the blame being put back on me for "not reading the fine print on a pop-up window". I told the agent that would do everything in my power to report their method of business. This did not matter to him. There were no efforts on his behalf to try to meet me half way. This transaction was summed up by him as a legal "GOTCHA" transaction with nothing I could do about it.

A quick visit back to the website showed "customer service" agent's point was certainly correct. You had to read all of the fine print. There is a 14 day delay from the day of the web transaction before they automatically charge for the full product amount + shipping. This means that by the time you receive the product the "$4.95" trial in the mail, the trial is over with and you've been charged along with some other misc charges.

Advanced Wellness Research has no qualms with reaching into people's pockets and taking their money on a "GOTCHA" transaction.... a very easy way to make profits legally.
