Advanta and all of their henchmen including, William Rosoff,Vice Chairman of the Board and President,Philip Browne,Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and John Moore,President of Advanta Bank Corp just to name a few, should be ashamed of themselves! They combined have set a new low in the banking industry. They truly are the greedy s****.> One of these greedy saps have evidently come up with this plan to try to hold their best credit card customers hostage. Here is how it works. They take a good customer who has made their payments on time, has a good credit rating, and has a large balance and an interest rate that is low. They then commence to triple that interest rate and made it so high and almost impossible for their customer to ever pay it off.

They stuff the pockets with their customer's blood, sweat, and tears without even a second thought! A big part of this predatory scam is to perpetrate it on customers who have a decent credit score. By doing this they know that those customers will be more likely to try to pay it to preserve their good credit. The end result is that their customers are slowly squashed under these truly heavy predatory interest rates as they squeeze and squeeze like any good loan shark does.

Yes, I too have fallen prey to this scheme and had my interest rate raised three times to a final rate of 34%. I plan on filing a complaint against them with the government and I suggest that you do too! If their are any attorneys out there who might find an angle for a class action suite against these loan sharks I would sign up immediately! File your complaint here: https://www2.fdic.gov/starsmail/index.asp

I also want to wish good luck to all of you who have been as unfortunate as I to have applied for one of their cards!

Anyone even thinking about applying for one of their cards should rip up the application immediately! You will thank me for this advise someday!

The best advice is to not sign up for ANY credit card period. I also had this cc years ago. They closed mine out and I had never been late on the payment either. So, I paid it off and got off this cc lie that eveyone has to have a cc for credit, which is a lie. I own a business and run it debt free, so yes tear it up, but also do not take out any credit cards either!
