Advantage America is a SCAM. I recieve 3 - 5 calls per day at my desk at work from these people. I have been available to take their calls twice, both times a woman in accented (but not broken) english identified herself as Christina, and knew my name. The first time I spoke with her, she explained that I had qualified for the "grant" of 5,000.00. I was immediately suspicious, as in my mid 20's, I haven't applied for a grant for over 6 years. When I pressed for a bit more information, regarding this grant, she hung up on me.

2nd call was even more brief. She called, and when I answered the phone, she once again asks for Benjamin. I ask what this is regarding and she says she's Christina from Advantage America. I simply state "What may I do for you?" and she once again hangs up.

It seems most of the people being scammed by this company (from other reports I've read) are women. I wonder if these people are not trained to hang up if a man answers and asks questions?

I work at a telecom company, in the IT department. I'm going to contact the phone systems people to see if the records of the call (source number and all that) can be looked up. I'll try to post as much information as I can find about these people.

Good luck all, and remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it IS. Nothing is free in this world, and everyone wants to steal your hard earned things.
