Complaint Review: Advantage America

I recieved a call on Saturday afternoon, from a girl named "Veronica Combs" Her number was A2345. She proceeded to tell me that I was selected by the US Government to recieve a $12500 grant. The Government had done this because of 9/11 and out of a certian amount (I forget the amount) 50 people were selected and of those 50 I was the choosen person. That I also would be recieving $500 dollars in coupons, that I could use or cash in for money.

Then she said that there would be a fee of 49.95 for shipping and the other half goes to Katrina vitims.

She then put her floor supervisor on the phone to confirm everything. I could hardly understand him and I hung up.

Veronica then called back asking why I hung up. I said I have no money I cannot pay you. She asked if there was an overdraft prootection on my account I said no. She said well after you get your coupons, cash them in the money will not be withdrawn until the day after you get you package. I agreed, and not to my surprise there was no package. I put a stop payment on the amount to them. Unfortunately, My bank charged me for the stop payment and let the amount go through anyway. Blue Ball National has to be the worst bank in the area.

I have yet to recieve anything like I was told that I would. Not only did they lie about me recieving they said they are donating some of it to the Katrina vitims.
