Advantage Plus credit card program ripoff! I paid $299 for a credit card, gave out my account number then called the company to cancel, but was denied. Oaklahoma City Oklahoma
Advantage Plus called me on the phone asking, "Have you heard of advantage plus before sir? It's a credit card with 5000.00 line of credit." She said it was thru Bank of America. There would be a one time charge of $299. I gave them my savings account number.
The lady Mrs. Applegate said I could check them out and for any reason I could cancel. I did some checking, the BBB in that state said it was getting alot of complaints. I tried to cancel and they said I couldn't.
I called my bank to stop the withdrawal from my account and they said they could not until they took out the money. Then I could file to get the money back. I took out all my money but what I needed for a monthly bill, below a $100.
I didn't know if I should close it out or not. But I am going to now. I just wanted to let your company know so no one else gets taken.
