About a year ago I moved to California and was searching for jobs. I came across Advantage Sales & Marketing and sent my resume. About half an hour later I received a call from a receptionist setting up an interview. The next day I went to the location. I was there a little early to make sure I found it, and it was clearly marked in a small business complex "Advantage Sales & Marketing" with a black awning. I went in to find a very simplistic office with minimul artwork, a simple sofa, and a small reception desk. In the back was a room with what looked like kindergarden photos and a "gong" with inspirational quotes and pyramid-scheme type sayings. To the left of the small lobby was another room with a simple desk, and yet again no artwork.

The office itself sent off a red flag. It looked as if it had been rented for a cheap office movie set. I was asked to sign in on a simple piece of notebook paper. A few minutes later the room filled up with about 10-12 other females with the same confused expression I had myself. After a few minutes the "boss" started calling us into the side room to meet with himself and one other woman who was rude and sarcastic. Neither of the two could give a definitive description of what the job entailed, and when I asked questions I was told the details would be finalized if I wanted the job. Not once was I asked for my resume. I started getting skeptical and politely said that the position was not for me.

As soon as I said that, they became very rude and pushy and booted me out of the office very quickly. I then read rip-off reports and did a report. They are NOT accredited by the BBB. If you ever apply for a position, make sure they are acredited before wasting your time.

A month later, they are no longer there and the address is no longer able to be searched. The same description is still on Craigslist, but this time with a different phone number and new physical address.

I hope nobody wastes their time like I did. Be careful of scams and SCUMS like these people.
