ADVANTAGE TAX RESOLUTION SO-CALLED TAX CONSULTANTS ARE CRIMINALS THAT USE THEFT BY DECEPTION TO STEAL FROM PEOPLE IN DESPERATE SITUATIONS BEVERLY HILLS California
I contracted with a company, Advantage Tax, Resolution, Inc., to help with a tax levy issue. I was told that the total cost would be $3900 to resolve my issue. I authorized for the company to withdraw $1000 form one account and $1000 from another account on August 7, 2008.
Twelve days later the company withdrew $950 from one of my accounts without my permission or authorization. When I spoke with Matt Walsh, the representative, a day later about this, he blew up at me on the phone and started yelling that I knew that he would be withdrawing money from my account on this date. We yelled back and forth and he told me that he was dropping my case. He hung up the phone on me and every attempt to call thereafter was treated the same. Matt Walsh would not speak with me about my case, a refund, or anything for that matter.
This product and service is being advertised on local stations and TV one well after midnight. I did sign a contract. The contract is very vague. I have contacted the local authorities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Beverly Hills, California. To no avail, I have consistently been told that this is a civil matter. This is blatant criminal fraud.
I have not received any services and I have not received a refund. Upon contacting the IRS on August 20th, I was made aware that I had no such representation from Advantage Tax Resolution, Inc., which the $2000 down payment was supposed to do. I had to speak with the IRS about giving me another 30-day hold on my tax lien.
The company is refusing to speak with me about a refund or service, instead they have sent threatening letters, which promise that the IRS will come after me with enforceable actions and asking for payment on a remaining balance. This company is scamming plenty of people out of money and has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

In response, as stated in a previous complaint, we at Advantage Tax Resolution, Inc. can not disclose specifics about current or former clients without permission; however, we can respond about our company policy and procedures.
We send an Engagement Agreement to all incoming prospective, which the client is required to sign before we proceed with the case. We then immediately send and invoice outlining all current payments and next payments due. Upon receiving additional scheduled payments we send additional invoices including all remaining payment dates.
Again, this company has a Binding Arbitration Clause for all of our clients to resolve financial issues arising from fee disputes. We utilize this clause when we have reached an empass. This did not occur. I question why all of the complaints on this site are from people who did not utilize Third Party Arbitration, which we agree to in the Engagement Agreement so it does not have to go this far. I also will continue to invite Rip-Off Report and the client to contact us if they would like all the facts. We would love to post all details regarding the case and will happily do so given permission.
