Complaint Review: Advertising Services

I too have been hit with the phone call from Steve Davis who sends Brad Engle to middleman for Advertising Services. $199 down and 4 payments of $275.25. Steve Davis sells you on an advertising package including 12 months of magazine ad, web page design and 4 short TV commercials. I was promised to start in February. Payments start in March and would be spread out over the year. NONE of this has come true. They began taking money from my account WITOUT notice. The contract that I signed has a completely different advertising package that consist of a magazine ad that I created, not Advertising Services, a small ad on a web site I have never heard, NO TV spots and four consecutive monthly payments.

I had to contact them for information on my ad after the first of February. At that point I was told the ad would not have started until March. I don't know if my ad has been published yet. I can't find the magazine. I am called daily for payment. I would not have agreed to $275.25 a month for four consecutive months. I cannot afford that. $275.25 every three months is what was offered. 12 issues was promised. But it is SIX issues, one every two months. I receive NO web design either.

Reading through the contract, I am not sure it will stand up in court. They have the scam laid out so no one can be heald responsible. They pressure you to give them the $199 right away so they can get your ad in by next month but I am not sure if it ever gets published. Brad Engle filled out the contract and all the important contact info for me is incorrect. He lied to me on every question I asked. I called Steve Davis, who contact me originally, and he did absolutely nothing to answer my questions. I am left to deal with some lady at 855-557-5566 who just asks for my next payment.

I made my first $275.25 payment after the initial $199. I have done all the work and have zero evidence that anything at all is being advertised. I am considering withholding any more payments and letting Advertising Services, or whomever, take me to court.

If you are looking for advertising, do not talk to Steve Davis or Brad Engle for Advertising Services or Desert Lifestyles Magazine! It will cost you about $1500 for nothing!
