Complaint Review: Aerus LLC

Another person reported Aerus' hiring practices as dishonest. It's true. The classified employment ad makes no mention of doing sales - only becoming a manager. The first interview - done in a group and sometimes rather time consuming depending on which manager is conducting it does not mention sales either - only the need for managers to open up 1300 new stores.

Finally at the second interview, the subject of having to do sales is broached as carefully as possible - and even then only as a component of manager training. (One of the only two components actually.) Still no mention of having to do door to door, but only as appointments through referrals. (That's not necessarily realistic.)

The pricing of the top of the line vacuum is FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ABOVE the company's own list price. The sales person's demonstration kit is usually used equipment which the sales person nevertheless agrees to purchase at retail price at 4% per pay period until the amount is paid in full.

Potential hires have been scheduled for interviews only to have to wait . . . believe it or not . . . up to two hours. Potential hires have also been told an interview will take only a few minutes, when it took over an hour and a half to two hours. Very very unprofessional. But you have to remember that these guys are already making so much money that I don't think they have to care at all.

The opportunity is still there, but you have to navigate your way around these . . . um . . . issues . . . and purpose to tell your manager exactly what you will and will not do. If they give you the axe, you can always appeal to the CEO. I haven't had to try that yet, but my "career" is only a couple of days old and I still have some issues to address.
