In March of this year, I sent in an initial order for the Aetna Rx Home Delivery for two medications that I am required to take every day. Aetna received the order between the 6th and the 9th of March. I had, on the 3rd, submitted my resignation from my job effective the 17th. Due to an injury sustained at home, it was agreed upon with HR at my company that they could adjust my resignation to the 10th. Aetna filled my prescription on the 16th and mailed it to me, cashing the check for the $100 copay.

In April, I received a letter from Aetna stating that I owe them over $600 because they received the notice from my job that I was "terminated" on the 10th. Looking at my pay stubs that I received from the week of the 10th and later stubs from my back-due vacation pay, I was still paying for Aetna coverage through the end of March.

When I received the letter from Aetna, I immediately called and was told that the date they received the order is irrelevant and that the date they fill it is what matters. I was unable to speak to a supervisor about this matter.

This does not seem right to me, especially after seeing that I was still paying for coverage through the end of the month. Aetna is willing to accept payment arragements, but I feel that I do not owe them anything.
