I was searching for job ads on Craigslist.com and came across ad for
receptionist in houston. It requires you to email your resume to another
website. So I did and I recieved a response for my resume requiring me
to open and set up a Yahoo Messanger Account for an online interview.
They pose as the AETNA insurance company providing you with all of their
information from the actuall business website. The red flag I got was
when they told me they would mail me a laptop and all the other
materials I needed to work at home the only thing I would have to do is
buy 4 different kinds of software that would cost me 312.00 and that the
only payment accepted is through WESTERN UNION. I have seen my share of
scams in my search for a new career so of course I contacted AETNA at
the number posted on the actual website and I was then informed it is a
SCAM and it is called the NIGERIAN SCAM. All job postings for AETNA is
on the actual website and job interviews are conducted in a business
office. BEWARE CONSUMERS!!!!
