Affiliate Traction is the typical 3rd party service that will take your money as an agency service free. In this case we signed on for them to manage our affiliates for $3000 per month and 1% commision for all the team to drive sales for affiliates.
Before we signed onto this service the sales team Anthony (used car salesman) promised the world and why we should sign on with them because they have all the relationships. We signed on because the sales pitch was very good and turns out we got fooled by smoke and mirrors and the communication within this email will show you all that.
When we signed on it was the middle of the month so we prorated the amount of 1600 and when the 1st of the month started we paid another $3000 for a total of $4600 sent to affiliate traciton. It took them over a MONTH to get the account LIVE and nothing happened past that. They came up with excuse after excuse saying we are live, but the affiliates are not live yet and they are working on it
At this point we got another invoice for $3000 and we have had a total of 156 clicks to our website and 6 sales total. The performance was complete crap and when we asked for answers we got snarky responses and excuses after excuse. I continued to press them very hard for answers and that we would not send them more money until they showed us this was not all smoke and mirrors.
After weeks of pressure and a number of excuses they sent us an email terminating our agreement with us. Yup... They fired us because they got tired of us calling them out on the fake service they are and not delivering the goods.
Once we asked for our money back they send us 3 more invoices demanding to be paid for services they did not delivered on. We have requested a full refund of our 4600 and we expect to get it returned asap. We have sent in all communication from this company below with attachments so you can see the crap we put up with while paying $3000 a month. I will make are case visible to anybody that wants it. We want to prevent any other company from getting shafted from this scam of a company.
A-1 Contact Signed Dec 30 - We signed the agreement on the 30th and it was confirmed by affiliate traction.
A-2 Conformation that the contract was signed - This was the email communication to confirm the contract was signed.
A-3 Payment Confirmation - Payment was sent on Jan 12th
A-4 Going Live - This was the confirmation that we are getting ready to go live.
A-5 - Performance 1 - This was the first email sent about not seeing affiliates active and converting to clicks.
A-6 - Performance 2 - Match 10th performance concern. I emailed Anthony to ask about the lack of performance. NO response
A-7 Performance 3 - This was a request to fill out the sales reconciliation report and we had no SALES to reconcile. The remainder of the communication was talking about performance concern.
A-8 Performance 4 - This one is the biggest shocker. Todd sent an email to Anthony saying this payment is not easy to submit based on the poor performance affiliate traction has done on the account and this payment would put us at 7600 in total payments with no sales to show.
After I put my response on this we get a response from Anthony that says the following.
(It would have saved both of us a ton of time and effort if you would gave us access to your Shareasale account so we could have started right away with affiliate partners that you already had. 2 months later you give us this information. This is not a great way to set up for successful partnership and make you look good.)
My response below that outlines that I sent this information on Jan 16th before we even started the program. This was also confirmed by our account rep. This is proof they got the info and did NOTHING with the account to promote it.
A-9 Performance 5 - April 20th I sent an email to complain about the lack of performance provided. No response
April 21st - Another follow-up email asking for a response with no response given.
A-10 Termination - After multiple emails sent to affiliate traction asking for answers on lack of performance and not getting a response from my emails above in
A-9 Performance 5 and taking our money without delivering what was promised we got an email on April 22nd letting us know that Affiliate traction wishes to give US a 30 day notice that THEY wish to terminate our agreement. No explanation on anything for the lack of performance.
A-11 Termination Refund Request - Once the termination letter was sent our CFO Todd pals responded to refund our money for the services not delivered.
On 4-23-15, we got a response letting us know the billing department would be in contact about the next steps.
On 4-25-15, Follow up with no response.
On 4-30-15, Follow up with no response
On 5-1-15, Follow up with no response
On 5-4-15, Follow up with no response
On 5-6-15, Follow up with no response.
A-12 Money Request - 5-6-15 we finally get a response from the billing department and the response was requesting more money from us for services they did not deliver.
