We went to Ypsilanti Imports Auto dealers to buy a 2005 Dodge Grand Caraven. WE had spent weeks shopping for an affordable reliable family car. Just as the same routine apparently happened to us we guarantee financing, and good way program to build up credit etc etc. Arbor Finance they said. Fine we put our down on worried a bit bout the high payment but figured we will trade this in after a year for a better loan...besides I figured high interest bad credit things will get better in 1 year. We needed a family car, and the job was bringing me to travel more to different stores in my job.

WE bought this van on March 17, 2007. Two weeks later we kept getting calls that we were late on our payments, but the contract said first payment April 17 349.96. I have the contract in my hand we bought this van this date and the contract indicates 1st payment due April 17 to Arbor Finance in Farmington Hills, MI. This went on between bounced calls to my husband at work and me at home until April 1st.

By April 1st, the phone calls were insistent. No your loan was just bought from us Affiliated Finance Company. I looked up there name thought strange and saw their website ok weird but hm. SO we were sending our payments every month by the 1st TO Affiliated Finance Company first 2 months seemed to have Sunrise address with that letter of lateness which it was never late in my orig contract but sent it anyways by the first then the letter and phone calls indicated Davie location. I said to my husband something stinks here much so...we never had so much trouble before not like when we financed with Ford Credit once.

Well I can tell you this...one day the van was gone right out of the driveway, you see we got so frustrated with this company phone calls and we told them come and pick up the van. SO when it was gone we figured ok they repoed it. I called Ann Arbor Police Department to tell them my van is missing they had the info and said sorry it was repossessed by your finance company. They asked for my finance company name and she said yes that is the name on the order. Ok gone.

Now we are just as yesterday getting notified by Bayquest? where is the van . It was never picked up etc. Wanting info from me and I told them to verify with Ann Arbor Police to confirm on Feb 2 what was told to me by officer.

I said who are you Bayquest we never financed with you. Why are you wondering where the van is? Strange. It was a recovery repo company in Grand Rapids 616 877 4487 looking for the van? Hence, why I did a search to see, "who was Bayquest." I am now discovering we may be in a rotten deal. What is going on and does anyone know what now is one to do, holy cow?!

Affiliated Financial Corporation Bayquest unethical auto finance practices

#2Author of original report

Sat, March 28, 2009

I have precisely the paperwork and want to clarify above actual named company: Affiliated Financial Corporation 13680 NW 5th Street, Suite 220 Sunrise, Florida 33325 who likes their auto payments sent to P.O. Box 553250 Davie, FL 33325 (888) 605-0400.

To go with the above statement when these letters starting coming in after the calls from Arbor Finance telling us that our new auto loaner was Affiliated Finance Company Starting in May. When I received those letters a week later and ton of them like I was late already supposedly, I saw the address on the envelope looked legit but the plain bare bones letter with a PO box for Davie send payment alerted me. Especially when it was mid month and the next month ahead payment was already late supposedly. I had called the company to tell them this and they act like I am crazy and it must be some kind of mistake. I said look at first my contract in my hand says the 17th every month, but when you had to be my finance company told to me by Arbor Finance I thought good fine by the first of the month. SO I have been on time why are you always sending me letters that we are late before the date of the first the month ahead. Thats when husband and me thought hmmm this stinks and we need to trade this high interest loan in for another company somehow because this company sounds very slippery in their ways. You see again we had financed before autos and never experienced this before. That was July when we were getting "your late notices" when we were not.
