Complaint Review: Affordable Water Heaters & Plumbing Inc.

Consumer Beware!!! These guys are LIARS!  Came over tonight because our water heater wasn't staying lit.  When my husband took him in the room, he didn't even look at it, but gave him a list of things that were wrong and it would cost $411.  My husband was skeptical because the guy was adding onto the list.  When they came in, he told me the price and explained why.  I looked at him and said, "NO WAY!"  He got on the phone with his boss who retorted with a new price of $350!!!  I told him to tell his boss, I was born at night but not last night.  All of a sudden the guy left in a haste.  After researching on line the problem, we found that there is really only 1 reason for this...the Thermocouple.  We looked at a "How To" site and in 1 hour had the thing fixed for....(drum roll please) $7.95.  And, it was EASY!  Well, stuff like this doesn't bode well for people like us.  So, they'll spend tomorrow driving to a service call in some remote farm location in Camarillo.  A little taste of their own medicine, perhaps.  But don't F*** with bigger F***ers!  Oh yeah, the person he was told to see for his service call was Yura Astle!  BTW, he wouldn't quote over the phone for our water heater but told us if the approximate price for the Thermocouple was $300-$400.  I hope he finds the mansion in Camarillo!  What a d*ck!  They need to go down!!!!
