AFNI, Anderson Financial Network ripoff Bloomington Illinois
Today I pulled my credit report to in fact "clean it up" I noticed an entry from "AFNI" or Anderson Financial Network, Inc. and it notated that Sprint was the original creditor. I was a bit confused seeing is how Sprint is my current provider.
So first I tried to call AFNI, to no avail, I was prompted to press "1" if I have an extenstion, and press "2" for the mailing address, and then NOTHING. I tried this numerous times throughout the day to no avail. So finally I called Sprint themselves and explained my problem. Sprint said they had NO past due bills for me, only my up to date current phone bill. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and again I get told I have no other bills. So my question is... How in the hell can AFNI put something on my credit report that is totally bogus. I had never heard of AFNI before and never even received any mail correspondance from them. I just hope everyone who sees AFNI on their credit report, investigates it such as I did! What a total fraudulant ripoff!

Don't let them get away with this

send them a letter stating that it is not yours- and that if they don't respond with a copy of a document with your signature on it in 5 days, you'll take action.
tell them you will report them to the ACA (acainternational.org), and ask for a $2500 fine for each violation of the law.
they'll take it off- they can do that almost immediately- not in 4 weeks like they tell you.
good luck
