AFNI Collections ripoff Fraudulent Billing Bloomington Illinois
I received the same letter that everyone seems to be writing about from AFNI Collections dated January 2, 2007. They claim that I owe $1,210.02 to Verizon Communications. The phone number listed in for a phone in Illinois. I have never lived in Illinois, nor have I ever had any association with Verizon.
I had tried to call repeatedly and only got a busy signal. However, after reading some of these other stories, I will send a certified letter requesting verification. I will also report them to the BBB and contact my credit reports.

Regina,
This happens alot when JUNK DEBT BUYERS get involved. The "debts" they purchase often have little or no contact info.
Therefore, they just search public records and directories and send letters to anyone with the same or similar neme. That's you.
You should file a lawsuit on them right away for the frivolous collection. This is the only thing this bunch of lowlife understand.
