I get a credit report about every 3 to 6 months ever since I bought my first house and had tons of fraudulent debts. Some were not even in my name, it literally took me 8 months to get them cleaned out and I still haven't gotten Transunion cleaned. Suing them this summer.

Anyway I just received my equifax report and for the first time a unfavorable and fraudulent debt appears from Alfi, Inc. for 65 dollars with a last date of report 01/01/2000. You seriously have to be kidding me? Why would any company want to risk the ramifications of a fraudulent debt, which this can only be.

Alfi ... If I have any adverse affects due to this record the law suit just for damages alone would make this 65 dollars look like one of the worst decisions you can make, what can you be thinking? Your people obviously don't do there homework, or like all other collection agencies out there you are highering the uneducated and the unempowered. To all who encounter these like idiots... document, document document, take names and times you call, do your research (they don't) and sue, its the only way to make them honestly report.

They did the same thing to me. The thing of it is though, this debt was paid thru the courts on a civil matter, in 2002. They refused to remove the debt. It's up for SOL next month! This thing just fellout of the woodwork!

I will be sending them a certified letter that is an intent to sue. I have the proper documents from the court. It has been so long, they had been archived for pete's sake.

This company is trying to tell me I have to prove to them I don't owe it, and I told them they need to prove I do owe it. It's amazing how some of these bottom feeding collection agencies get away with things like this. Good luck to you but go after them with a vengence.
