Complaint Review: Aguila Insurance Agency

This company does not need to be in business. They are jeopardizing people's lives for their own personal use. I had a hail damage claim on April 5, 2003 and reported it to their office and here is is August 14, 2003 and they have not resolved the claim. I have learned from the underwriting company, Home State Direct, that they never applied for insurance for me. They are not writing policies to the underwriters at all. They have been pocketing the premiums I have given them over the last year.

I have submitted a formal complaint to the Texas Dept. of Insurance and have a lawyer looking into this as well. They need to be shut down. Last week they gave me a check that bounced at the bank and have not contacted me to replace the check and the fees.

The owners are Barbara and Gus Del Aguila and her brother David. They are never in the office when you call and have been issuing fake insurance cards to customers. They should be shut down and go to jail. This is deceptive and fradulent practices. Please, please, please, anyone with information should contact channel 4 news and the Texas Dept. of Insurance.
