In post office parking lot, checked to see if clear and started to back out. Cleared car on passenger side of car, braked and started to shift into drive. Felt a bump and looked around to see this kid getting out of his car, which was partically out of his parking space. His line of sight was blocked by a full size truck on driver side of car. My car was at a stop , his was moving. His car sustained a saucer size shallow dent in the rear quarter panel behind the rear window.

There was prior damage on the driver side passenger door. My grandaughter who was in the back seat said he tried to squeeze out behind me. My daughter was in the passenger seat and she also said it was clear on her side. Went home and called insurance co. and was assigned Tim Puhala to handle the accident.

I spoke to State Farm the kid insurance co. After not hearing anything I called State Farm back and told them I wanted my bumper fixed. The lady I spoke to said the file had been closed and no blame had been assigned. She would have to reopen the file. I called Tim Puhala back to find out what was going on the told him what I was told. He said this lady had no right telling me that. Next I get a letter from State Farm saying they won't pay the claim.

I do have her name but my husband has the file at the moment because he is trying to contact Tim Puhala's supervisor Steve Hantzman, but he refused to return our calls. I sent picture of the damage to my bumper to Tim Puhala.

That should have shown him I could not have created that damage on other car. Six months later I found out what AIG had paid for the damage and couldn't believe it. It isn't even who was at fault anymore but the amount of damage they claim I did.

The kid had a witness but the only other person in the parking lot at the time was on the passenger side of his car and he had just come into the parking lot. I did not see any one on the side of the car that the impact occured on. We called customer service on this matter and spoke to a Rod and he told us to call Steve but we get nowhere.
