AIG insurance offered quite low diminished value compensation for our car. At first they offered $297.90 and so our option was to hire a credible, licensed, expert appraiser. Came out from the appraisal report that the escalations reached $1600. Then received a counter offer of a thousand dollars from the insurance company's adjuster. We chose to respectfully decline the counter offer as we know we deserve the compensation amount that our appraiser provider us.

Yours is a common story, insurance companies fighting tooth and nail to avoid making fair settlement offers for diminished value. It's important for you to obtain a diminished value report that is not based on a formula or algorithm.
