 Complaint: I have had customer service issues with unprofessional cmmunication and an incomplete repair job with Aik Services. I currently have a claim that I have minimal to no contact with my repair man about its progress/completion. I am disappointed in the way my current claim is being handled and needed to take further action so that things can be handled more professionally. I've made several attempts on a daily basis by phone and email to reach out to my repair man and continue to receive minimal to no returned form of communication. After 2 weeks of waiting and paying for our refrigerator job to be successfully completed I think my wife and I have been patient enough. Below is a detailed account of the transactions that I mostly initiated so you can get an understanding.

Mon 12/17 - Around 4:45pm I contacted Aik Services to schedule an appointment to service our non working refrigerator for the following day between 11am-1pm. I confirmed that time period by email (aikservices786@gmail.com) since he said that was quickest at around 6pm. I also informed him that my brother in law would be stepping in on our behalf and requested the repair man to give my brother in law continuous updates on the diagnosis. He received the email and informed me about the $60 fee. I sent him a return email thanking him. Tuesday 12/18 - My brother in law texted me that the job was completed around 12:30pm, and that the repair man said parts would take some days, and that there was an invoice left about a control board and condenser. I called the repair man 20 minutes later to get a diagnosis and left a message. Wednesday 12/19 - Around 3:50pm I contacted Aik again and left a message. Thursday 12/20 - Around 11:30am I emailed Aik requesting a follow up with me about the diagnosis and being disappointed in the lack of returned phone messages. Around 3:50pm I contacted Aik Services and had to leave another message. Friday 12/21 - Around 3:30pm I contacted and left a message with Aik. Aik shortly called be back and said he couldn't see the numbers on his phone for some reason and that's all he said about the unresponded messages. He explained the diagnosis of the fridge. He also said parts should be in Saturday night and would be repaired on Monday. I just said it had to be done before 4pm and he said that wouldn't be a problem. I finished the conversation with "I'll look forward to your phone call."

Monday12/24/12 - No contact was made. Tuesday was Christmas. Wednesday 12/26/12 was another missed opportunity but the snow would have made things challenging. Thursday 12/27/12 - At 8:54am I received an email from Aik apologizing for the inconvenience. He mentioned there was a death in the family but that he could be out on Friday. We confirmed the 11-1 time slot. Friday 12/28/12 - The repairman came and serviced the refrigerator. He said in about 6 hours the fridge would be back to normal and we could start putting food in. I emailed him at 10:29pm to request him to come back as soon as possible the following day to complete the repair successfully since the fridge was not cooling as expected. I also called him at 1:15pm and had to leave a message Sunday 12/31/12 - I contacted Aik Services and left a message at 9:43am.

Stuff happens and I don't want to be insensitive to his loss if that's even true but being professional can be as small as returning a phone call. Please help me complete this repair. We've lost food, had to go out and buy food, borrow a temporary fridge. Clearly this individual has some past reports reported that were pretty recent and not much as changed.

Complaint: Company did not return phone calls, missed appointments(no call/ no show), and LIED about fixing my microwave to my home insurance company About a month ago I submitted a claim to HMS Home Warranty that my microwave wasn't working. I was assigned AIK services. I had to call 3 times to get an appointment as no one was returning my calls. Once the appointment was set the owner came out and found the problem with my microwave. He was very friendly and seemed to be a hard worker. I asked if it could be fixed by the weekend(since it was the Super Bowl) and he said "probably if the parts were in stock." I received no phone call to set up the follow up appointment until the week after the Super Bowl, not even a phone call to inform me the parts weren't in. We set up an appointment for the following Saturday. No one called, no one showed up. I called Sunday and the woman who answered the phone said someone would get back to me. No one did, I called again 2 days later and the owner answered. He told me the techinician had a family emergency and assured me he (the owner) would be out the next Saturday. Saturday came and went, I received no phone call and no one showed up. I called the next day and no one answered so I wrote a complaint to HMS. Today I received a phone call from HMS to clarify the problem. They have spoken with the owner of the company who is now claiming that my microwave was back in working condition so the appointment was cancelled. This was a flat out lie. I have seen unprofessionalism in scheduling and time management before but NEVER have I seen a company lie to about fixing a problem or conversations had with their clients. I have missed 2 days of work waiting for this company and now they are lying to cover their own unprofessionalism. If this isn't a breech of ethics, I don't know what is.

Complaint: AIK took my funds in advance to purchase supplies needed for a repair and never returned to perform the repair. On 9/12/2012 Newman from AIK too $152.25 from me to buy supplies to repair my refridgerator/freezer. I have called and emailed him on no less than a dozen occassions. He had scheduled 2 appointments to come perform repairs; but he never showed. Now he no longer answers the phone or returns my calls. He is no better than a common crook!

Complaint: American home shield and TotalProtect Gold Home Service Plan are the only clients this Scammer works with. The BBB is investigating and waiting for their payments to conclude their investigation. Montgomery County refuses to get involved with consumer/citizen protection so long as the fore mentioned pay to conduct their scams. Conduct business with these companies with caution, you have no recourse.
