On about April 02, 2008, I contracted with Air Around the Clock to install a new A/C air-handler, for $1,795.00, at my home located Davie, Fl. On April 04, 2008, while installing my new A/C, a representative of Air Around the Clock put a big deep scratch on my big screen TV. It was agreed, and I paid them only $1,195.00. They agreed that the remaining $600.00 could be withheld, pending repair of the TV screen. On April 07, 2008, the following business day, Air Around the Clock put a $1,800.00 lien on my house. The lien was for $1,200.00 more than what was being withheld. To date (July 01, 2008) they have not repaired the TV, and in fact threatened me on several occasions.

I saw the employee who scratched the screen. He told me that they made him pay for what I deducted from the bill, by taking it out of his pay, little by little, then they fired him. So, they got paid, but I still have a damaged TV. What a scummy company!

This is an interesting complaint. We did damage the gent lemans TV screen. The replacement screen was ordered and had to be shipped as the availability was limited. Approximately 5 days later it was in our facility and we attempted to contact him to install the screen. This screen is easily replaced and does not need a TV specialist. In the interim he had an attorney contact us in writing about the TV.

Numerous attempts were made to contact the customer to install the part and finalize the payment to our company both by our employees and then by our attorney. They have still not responded, an interesting situation considering nine months later he claims it to be almost a year that we did not respond to a posting we did not have knowledge of.

Our company does not run away from issues like this, they do not go away. The reputation we have worked for is not indicative of poor follow-up to problems.

We would like to rectify this situation, satisfy the customer, receive full payment and get rid of a sizable TV screen that we have no use for and have already paid for. Our attorney is once again been told to contact the representative for this customer, I hope we can get this finished.

On top of all that, they responded to my complaint with the Better Business Bureau, about nine months late, and said they were ready to repair the screen. A Bit Late Guys.
