Air Care Solutions Gil Ashkenazi- Superviser for South FLorida saw their ad in Sun Sentinel $19.00 clean unlimited vents- charged me $2,000 saying that my house was completely mildewed and the house was in eminent danger with all the bacteria that was deadly. S Internet, Internet
On 11/5/12 Through a Whole page ad in the Boca Sun Sentinel I called them regarding a $19.00 ad to clean unlimited airducts.
Gil Askenazi, the superviser and the helped who basically did all the work, proceeded to within minutes alarm me to the point that the mildew and bacteria on the actual a/c unit in the attic was so bad with all the mold, etc, I was close to needing a new unit, however he could repair everything, but it would cost more than I think.
He showed me a photo of the unit and continued to smooth talk me. I told him that my husband was coming home shortly as I called him immediately regarding the impending situation, almost in tears, fearing an emergency that was about to happen to our entire 1700 sq.ft house.
My husband came home and then Gil proceeded to tell him the immediate situation. We did not know what to do. My husband had just received some horrific news about a member of his family and was not up to this matter, but when .he saw how petrified I was, he relented to this very very smooth Israeli talker.
As if $1810, was enough. which included 2 filters that he said we needed (on backorder for $200) and then another $450. for freeon that he said was imperative, my husband signed the repair bills (total of 2) and put it on his credit card. The actual service receipts are not even ledgible.
After we digested the situation the next morning, we looked up the company on google and the rest is history. There was a multitude of reports on complaints board, ripoff report, better business bureau, etc. with the exact situation. We were undoubtedly scammed..........
We called the Credit Card company Citi-Mastercard to put on this amount on dispute, which they said they would, however these absurd charges went through.
My husband called Gil and could not get a word in, not surprising and got nowhere. He then called the company # and the woman that he spoke to sounded as though she was reading from a script, to no avail.
I called another air conditioning company that I used before and they said that they could come in and check to see what was done, but that would cost us more money. I had used them before and should have called them instead. (Hind site).
They put in a UV lite of to combat future mold and bacteria and that was included in the $1800 in the amount of $$600 and $200 for installation which took literally 5 minutes. I later found out that there are various types of lights at all prices, so I dont even know which I have.
My husband asked if they would at least remove the light so that we could at least recover $800 from this massive bill and they said it was now used and they could not. Had to laugh, as their next culpret would never know if it was used or not, just like us.
My husband and I have never had this happen to us. We are absolutely sick over this.
I am going to call the advertising number of the SunSentinel 954-356-4141 and advise them as well of this disgusting horrific scam company.
Please help.......
