I shipped a package from Austin Tx to Virginia Beach. The package was insured for $250 and dropped off at a FedEx shipping station. The shipping label was purchased through Parcel Monkey, a company in Great Britian that goes by Air City Post in the US. The package was delivered by FedEx late, with obvious water damage and had been relabeled.

I contacted FedEx to file an insurance claim that day. After 10 days I was told my claim was denied and Air City Post would have to file the claim. FedEx would not provide me with any contact info for Air City Post. I finally located Air City Post, but after repeated emails, contacts using the form on their website and attempts to contact them by phone I have still not heard from them. I had to refund the customer the price of the item out of my pocket.

Since FexEx was in possession of the package from the time it was picked up in Austin until it was delivered in Virginia, and the claim will ultimately have to be settled through them, they should pay the claim instead of me having to go through some fly by night company that wont answer their phone or emails.
