Complaint Review: Air Extreme Contracting - Extreme Air Contracting - Extreme Mechanical Contracting

Back in April 2003 Mr. Shane Kantor the owner of Extreme AIR Contracting asked for a $2500.00 deposit to install central air cond. in my home and gave me a receipt for the deposit. Months went by with calls from Mr. Kantor stating next week and then next week and the week never came. So I track down the Buss. address which was 20 Mecca lane Salisbury mills NY 12577 which is Mr. Kantor's mom and dads house they informed me he does not live there.

I found out he was living in Greenwood lake NY at 5 corbett way. Once I found him he stated he would start to pay me back that he is having hard times. A few weeks later he gave me $400.00 and a letter stating stating he would make weekly payments of $200.00 starting on 08-29-03 and ending by 10-31-03 Then several weeks went by with no payments then I drove out to his house and spoke with his girl friend Nicole. Then a few days later he gave me another $400.00. which was about Oct 2003 then in Nov 2003 he called and asked if i could wait until after the holidays and I said OK but the holiday went and came and MR Kantor Moved to a new location in Greewood lake Unknown and never returned any more phone calls.

Then I spoke to Nicole again which is his wife/girlfriend and she stated she incharge of the bills and would start to pay $50.00a month starting the end of Feb 2004. well no checks so far and he open a new company called Extreme Mechanical Contracting and I think its under his wife name now but Mr Kantor shows up to the job sites to collect the money. The town of Goshen ny has several complaints on mr Kantor for the same story.
