This company installed a radon mitigation system in our home in June 2011.  They guaranteed getting our radon levels below 3.9 pci/L and in fact stated they would get the levels below 1 pci/L.  The specialist sent us an email to get our business with the statement "I personally guarantee your satisfaction, or you don't pay a dime."  Based on these statements, we chose them to mitigate the radon in our home.
A couple of weeks, after they installed the system, we ran a carbon radon detection test as they requested and the results came back higher than 3.9 pci/L, in fact the results were 8.7 pci/L.  We contacted them many times over the summer to rectify the situation.  They kept insisting on payment even though they did not satisfy the agreement.  We purchased a digital radon detector that they recommend, which is plugged in 24 hours a day and is consistently giving higher than 3.9 pci/L readings and the readings of the digital detector are consistent with the carbon tests that were run.  When we told them this, they said they would not accept those results and we had to run another carbon test.
So we ran another carbon test through their radon tester and it miraculously came back at 3.3 when the digital detector was reading about 9.  We insisted that their test was wrong and we ran another test with an independent local lab, EAS; the results came back consistent with our digital detector at 10.1.
We contacted them many times to come out and rectify the problem.  Finally after we agreed to pay them half of the bill, on November 1, 2011 they came back and installed a 2nd tap.
We have now run 2 carbon tests, 1 with their tester and 1 with an independent local lab EAS, their test results are 3.8 and EAS results are 4.8 which is consistent with the digital detector which has been reading 4.9 on average.  They avoid our calls but being persistent we got through today to Matt and Zak and they said they would not do anything further without a charge.  They said they satisfied their obligation.  However this is clearly not true.  After running many many carbon tests, it is clear that our digital detector is accurate and it is always reading above 3.9, and the local independent lab results are also above 3.9.  But somehow their lab shows just below 3.9 to get them out of their obligation.
If you have radon in your home, do not use this company; go with a local state certified company.  I believe that this company is fraudulent.
