Previous to 1996, a small UK based company, Aerospace Support Associates Ltd (ASA), supplied aircraft spares to Sahara Air to the value of $64,000.00 which, in spite of their efforts, remains unpaid. It is not an insignificant amount of money for such a long time during which, ASA has invested further in debt-collection agencies and Indian court attendance charges. All to no avail.

The American Lawyer retained to collect the outstanding debt, Mr Weston Carter of Regency Credit, said of his dealings with Air Sahara "In my 25 years of experience as an international debt collector, I have no comparison for this case due to the dishonest and deceitful manner that Air Sahara conducts its business". His four year campaign on behalf of ASA has yet to bear fruit, despite the fact that there is no doubt about the validity of the debt.

Asked for a comment on the allegations that Air Sahara have not met properly issued invoices, their silence has been deafening.

In the meantime, Air Sahara continue their high-profile in sponsorship of the Indian Cricket team, and the Airlines slogans include 'Emotionally Yours' and 'If we delay, we pay'. It seems that these offers do not extend to their business debts and business conduct!

Company is front for Scientology

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, April 26, 2004

These people were a front for the Church of Scientology. I worked there after I left Pakistan. Any parts they supplied they got from salvage yards near Gatwick and never paid for anyway--those companies were always coming around asking for money. They just think because Sahara is in India they will be intimidated.
