Having previously had a successful 'test the water' transaction with airaccent, which did take a relatively long time of 5 weeks to arrive (not that unusual from Hong Kong to the UK) I ordered a radio controlled model helicopter costing 64.61 on 08 March 2012 from www.airaccent.com.
Payment was taken immediately via PayPal. The item was, and still is, showing as in stock. The order remained at the 'processing' stage up to 19 March 2012.
I contacted the customer services at airaccent via email on 19 March to enquire if the order would be sent out anythime soon, as it was long past their 2 day despatch time as stated on the website. I received a reply to the email on the morning of 22 March which stated: -
"Sorry for any inconvenience to you., dear friend. In order to offer the best service , we are updating our system currently , we afraid you can not purchase our products for the time being.We will refund to you within this week." The email was from a person named Joyce.
If this is the real reason for not supplying the helicopter, they should not still be taking orders. I have taken the problem to PayPal where I opened a dispute, which, unusually, was immediately upgraded to a full claim, as PayPal's system reported that the seller is unable to communicate at this time.
I urge people to stay clear of airaccent, as they simply do not have the products in stock, take your money and make you wait.
