i wanted to book a home 6 months out from today; the cost was $976. Teh homeowner could leave or the home burn down by then. I requested the amount of a fair deposit I could make: "...No, you must pay it all now..." and...airbnb sits on the money for 6 months, it is not even the homeowner who gets it! A scam; a 20% deposit would be plenty to assure good faith but "NO', airbnb sits on clinet balances and pays no intrerest. Go directly to the hoemowner by checking B and B sites. to hell with airbnb.
