Airpark Chrysler Jeep Criminals who don't care to forge a signature if necessary acting like criminals who should be avoided under any circumstances, auto rebate ripoff Scottsdale Arizona

We bought a new Jeep in 11/2004, asked salesperson about "College Graduate Rebate". Salesperson was not familiar with the program, went to office, came back with "good news"- we would get the $ 400 rebate. We would have to provide Airpark with the contact information for the university, they would verify that I was going to graduate within 6 months.

They made a copy of my student ID, wrote down the address and phone number. Then they asked me to leave a security deposit for the $ 400 which would be refunded as soon as they would receive the money from Chrysler. (The $ 400 rebate was considered in the purchase price.) We paid that with a credit card.

After 2 weeks we called them up to inquire when they would reverse the credit card charges. The office manager told us we would have to wait until the University would issue the diploma as soon as we would submit a copy of the diploma, they would reverse the credit card charges.

In April 2005 I submitted a copy of my diploma. No response. Called them up after 2 weeks and was advised that the lady who submitts the application to Chrysler was sick. Asked for office manager. Now her response was "You are not the primary buyer, your wife is the primary buyer in the contract." We asked for Coy Pointer, the owner of the business and left a message for him saying that it does not make sense that the customer ultimately has to pay for the lack of knowledge and the negligence of his sales people. He let Willy return our phone call and he came up with all kind of arguments, like we got the car already soooo cheap, cheaper than anybody else and we should feel ashamed to continue asking about the college grad rebate. Finally he came up with a new argument, I had signed that I was told to submit evidence for my eligibility within 3 working days. I told him that I had signed nothing like that. He sent a copy of a document I had never seen before in my life, and which I would have never signed since it said that I had given a check to Airpark Chrysler Jeep, what is not true, since we paid the deposit with a credit card.

We both know for sure that someone "manufactured" this document because we already told Willy that we would go to small claims court about the $ 400. Someone messed up in this company and is trying to cover his a*s. We don't even know who was the manager who signed this fake document, the signature does not match the signature on all the other documents.

These people are acting criminals who should be avoided under any circumstances. You would not do business with the mafia either.

Update: Airpark Chrysler Jeep - Episode III (The Conclusion)

#7Consumer Comment

Wed, March 01, 2006

Here is the conclusion that everybody has been waiting for: As we had promised earlier, the story would go on and if my wife wouldn't have accepted a settlement about 2 weeks ago, we would continue to have a lot of fun with these guys...

One beautiful Saturday morning (Saturdays and Sundays are cardealer's favorite days) we decided to give our favorite dealership another visit in order to express our feelings.

At 6 am (it was still dark) the first employee showed up and started to run around like a crazy chicken with her cell phone sticking on her ear. The reason why she was upset was the fact that there was a van next to their main entrance, the letters on the rear window said "I feel Airpark Chrysler Jeep is a Rip Off - Rippoffreport.com" After about 5 minutes she moved one of the company vans into their driveway (almost blocking their own entrance) in order to cover our van. This vehicle was moved about 5 times until they left it in its final position. At that point we decided to take further steps that the US constitution ("Freedom of Speech...") would allow us to take. A Wal-Mart around the corner provided us with some window chalk and some 2' X 4' signs. I had just painted the same message onto the side windows of our van and was going to prepare some signs to put onto the roof of the same vehicle and around my body ("sandwich signs") when the owner of the business suddenly showed up. What an honor: over a period of almost a year these guys wouldn't even answer an email or return a phone call and now the owner of the business showed up in person to talk to us !

He mentioned that he was always desirous to return $ 200,- and that he never received any message from us. Well, I was hoping to get the full deposit of $ 400,- back and I am sure that sooner or later they would have paid them but my wife is not as stubborn, so we settled. Too bad, I really started to have fun with these games.

Conclusion: If you hate to go to court and you are afraid that the judge of the peace is the same guy that plays golf with the business owner you are suing, use alternative methods like the ones we used. -They really work

What thee hell is going on? Who is on the side of the car buyer?

#7Consumer Comment

Tue, November 22, 2005

Steven and all Arizona car buyers. I some questions for all of you. I have NEVER seen a AG's office in this state spank ANY NEW CAR DEALER for NOTHING!

What do we pay STATE INCOME taxes for? Where does all of our taxes go? Is there a state employee that is paid with TAX payer's money that helps car buyers in this state? Is there anybody in Arizona's AG's that knows how to spot DECEPTION by car dealers?

What thee hell is going on? Who is on the side of the car buyer?

NOW I will take this time to post some violations that car dealers in New York get spanked for. Next time you car buying consumers watch your favorite Tv station look for DECEPTIVE commercials. The next time you turn on your car's radio listen to all of the FAST taking jeber Jabber and see if you can spot DECEPTION.

If your favorite TV station or favorite radio station runs any deceptive or misleading commercials, make sure they make the Rip Off Report. Any form of media that runs deceptive commercials should be exposed.

It makes me sick that car buyers in this state have NO ONE in our so called legal system protecting them.

Read the below. These are many ways New York Car dealers get SPANKED.

#1
"$2,500 Guaranteed for Your Trade" on television and newspaper ads when, in fact, the price of the used car to be purchased had been increased to absorb the high trade amount offered; Truth-In-Lending Violations: TV ads that give monthly payment amount without providing other required disclosures; "0.0% Financing" which failed to disclose that the offer is limited to well qualified individuals; newspaper ads that provided a monthly payment amount that did not represent the actual amount that would be paid by the public at large

#2
Failure to disclose APR and payment terms; "All Applications Accepted" that falsely implied that credit is available to all applicants; failure to provide mileage information when advertising price of specific used vehicle.

#3
Claims of an "IRS Sale" and a "national clearance sale" which was not the case; "1% Over Authorized Factory Invoice" which does not accurately reflect the dealer's ultimate vehicle cost; "0.9% financing" without disclosing that availability was limited to well qualified individuals

#4
"$0 Down Payment/$0 Security Deposit" contradicted in small print of a footnote; "No credit/Bad Credit, No Problem" ads that deceptively implied that credit is available to all applicants; advertised monthly payment prices of specific vehicles which generally did not represent the actual monthly payment price

#5
$299 Over Invoice" and similar claims failed to accurately reflect the ultimate dealer cost for a vehicle; violated Truth-In-Leasing when it advertised a specific monthly lease payment, but failed to provide other required disclosures; ads claimed "1 year worth of gas free" failed to disclose that the cost of such service would be factored into the price for the vehicle; advertised, that in spite of credit problems "all applications would be processed" falsely implying that all applicants would receive financing

#6 This one is coming your way VERY SOON!
Television and newspapers ads that claimed vehicles for sale "at cost" or "under factory invoice" that don't accurately reflect the actual cost to the dealer; violated Truth-In-Lending by failing to provide required disclosures such as amount of down payment, APR, terms of repayment; violated FTC's regulations regarding use of term "free" when advertised on radio and television that the dealer would pay to have purchases' income tax return prepared for "free"

#7
"Public Notice" and "Emergency Liquidation Event" ads that falsely implied an actual court order or forced bankruptcy liquidation and that there is an urgency or greater likelihood that cars will be sold at lower prices; ads claiming "all credit applications accepted" that falsely implied that credit is available to all; "$1 over invoice" claims that don't accurately reflect the actual cost to the dealer for the vehicle; advertised the price for a particular vehicle which was not the true full cost; failed to disclose major options affecting the value of a used car;

#8
$2,501 minimum trade-in/Push-Pull-Drag It In" when, in fact, the price of the used car to be purchased had been increased to absorb the high trade amount offered; "No Money Down" claim contradicted in small print; advertised low APR which failed to conspicuously disclose: shortened loan term and qualifications such as limited to well qualified individuals; Truth-In-Lending Violation: disclosed " $0 Down Available" "Zero Up Front Costs" "6.9% financing for 60 months" without providing other required federal disclosures; deceptively advertised "total savings of $1,500 to $4,000" without stating the benchmark price to which the savings was compared.

#9
Advertised low finance rates, but failed to conspicuously disclose limitations such as: restrictions on makes and models; that the low rate is not generally available to the public; and that the low rate could not be combined with the advertised sale price for the vehicles; advertised prices that did not accurately reflect actual prices at which consumers could purchase a vehicle - to get advertised price, consumer must get financing through dealer; advertised vehicles at a certain price that fails to conspicuously disclose that rebate offers not available to the public at large were included in price; falsely implied that it could be financing for all consumers with a job by stating "Regardless of your credit history, YOUR JOB IS YOUR CREDIT!"; advertised vehicles for lease, but failed to conspicuously provide excess mileage rates; advertised limited-time sales ("this week only") when the dealer offers many vehicles at the same prices for several weeks.

#10
Advertised leases with "$0 Down Payment" that was contradicted by small print and violated Truth-In-Leasing; advertised factory rebates by failing to disclose the terms and details of such rebates; advertised the availability of low finance rates and low monthly lease rates that failed to conspicuously disclose conditions, qualifications, and limitations; advertised trade-in allowances ("push it in, tow it in") that fails to make the buyer aware of conditions attached to offer; claimed "Nobody walks away without a loan" and "your credit is approved" that falsely implied that all consumers would be able to receive financing; advertised "free" offers that failed to disclose restrictions and limitations on the offer.

#11
Advertised "No Credit, Bad Credit, Call Today", "Military and Civilian Financing Available - All Applications Accepted" falsely implies that credit is available to all applicants; claimed "$0 Down" without providing Truth-In-Lending disclosures; advertised specific used cars for sale, but failed to provide facts that affect the value of the vehicle, such as prior use, mileage and options; advertised prices for specified vehicles but failed to disclose the full cost of the vehicles.

#12
Direct mailing that: (1) misrepresented itself as a safety recall notice; (2) disclosed monthly payment information that failed to provide required federal disclosures; (3) provided a "$1,000 Certificate" toward the purchase of a used car which failed to disclose that the dealer may increase the price of the purchased vehicle accordingly; "You Pay a $39 Acquisition Fee and Take Over Payments" falsely implied that a consumer takes over someone else's payments; advertised vehicles as "reduced by 20%" failed to disclose the benchmark price for comparison; advertised used cars for sale without disclosing odometer readings, which could greatly affect the value of the sale.

#13
"Emergency Liquidation", "Unclaimed Cars and Trucks" falsely implied the sale to be either court-ordered or forced bankruptcy liquidation; "Public Notice" sale as "selected nationally by Ford Motor Co." falsely implied that the manufacturer had selected the dealer for better offers than its competitors; "$37 Acquisition Fee and...Take Over Payments" falsely implied that a consumer takes over someone else's payments; advertised "program cars" for sale without disclosing their prior use.

#14
sent direct mailings that proclaimed "$72 4 Day Used Car Liquidation Sale" falsely implied that the sale was court-ordered or forced liquidation; sent direct mailings that proclaimed "$77 Acquisition Sale" and consumers "take over payments" which falsely implied that consumers who take over someone's else's payments; failed to disclose prior use of "program cars"; produced infomercial that stated that bankruptcy, foreclosure and repossession were no problems for financing, but provided terms of conditions on such offer much later in the program; "Push, Pull, Trade coupled with a guaranteed trade-in value that falsely implied that a consumer with a trade-in will always negotiate a better purchase price than a consumer without a trade-in

#15

"$99 Under Invoice" print and radio ads; balloon payments not conspicuously disclosed; use of sweepstakes without adequate disclosures; "0.9% financing" that failed to disclose that the offer was limited to qualified buyers; Truth-In-Lending Violation: credit for used cars advertised at specific monthly payment amount without mentioning APR; Truth-In-Leasing violation: no mention of security deposit or first month payment

#16
"$25 Below Invoice" ads that don't accurately reflect the actual cost to the dealer; Truth-In-Lending Violations: credit ads without required disclosures; can't read disclaimers; used college grad rebates without clear disclosures in pricing; used 0.9% financing ads that failed to disclose that the offer is limited to well qualified individuals.

#17
Advertisements that falsely claim the dealer has been "nationally selected" and falsely implies that it was the only local authorized dealer to participate in the sale. This sale falsely implies that consumers will receive special inventory reduction prices; "Below invoice" sales that did not accurately reflect the dealer's ultimate vehicle cost; Truth-In-Lending Violation: direct mail flyers that disclosed the acquisition fee without disclosing the number of payments and the finance charge; flyers that stated "all applications will be accepted" that falsely implied that credit is available to all; advertised monthly payment for vehicle that did not accurately reflect the true payment amount because it included, for example, limited rebate offers not available to the public at large; "Free $500 Gas Certificate" implied that the service is being given at no cost, when the cost is actually factored into the final sale price.

Want me to post more? If you are a car dealer's Victim and you went to this state's Ag's office and got NO help, post your story in a Rip Off Report.

I would love to see somebody post what help they got from our AG's office pertaining to a car deal on this web site. To this day I have NEVER seen an AZ attorney General show where he or she has gone after a deceptive car dealer. Now nobody can say that all the car dealers in this state are all good boys. Don't ask me to post all of what I know. many would not like what I can find.

Love your favorite car dealer? Go to this web site and do a search on your local loving car dealer.

Just go to this below URL and type in YOUR FAVORITE car dealer's name in the box marked "business Name" A Surprise is headed your way!

www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/civil/caseSearch.asp

Again, Who is on the car buyer's side of the fence?

There are many AZ car dealer Rip Off Reports that could keep many VERY BUSY at our state's AG's office. BUT NO, No body has ANY TIME for car buying VICTIMS!

Update: Airpark Chrysler Jeep fraudulently alters credit applications

#7Consumer Comment

Fri, October 07, 2005

Thanks to Ripoff Report advocate Stick Bogart we just found out that Airpark Chrysler Jeep fraudulently altered our credit application.

He suggested that we should call Chrysler Financial and ask them for a copy of our application. They mailed it out on 9/19/2005 and when we opened the envelope we saw immediately that this was not what we had signed:

Two numbers were altered (my wife's total gross monthly income and the total income). Then there was a name for a "Previous Employer" that we had never seen or heard of before in our lifetime: "Nora Burns Housekeeping". According to the application my wife had worked for 1 year for this phantasy company.

We told Joe Rodrigues that we did not have a savings account. He still entered "$ 3,000" into the "Average Balance" box that corresponds to a savings account.

These were the tricks that the financial manager, Joe Rodriguez used in order to produce a document that would qualify us for a car loan with monthly payments of over $ 500:

(1) He let us sign a bunch of documents (after the comon practice of exhausting the consumer over a period of several hours). After having signed a stack of documents the consumer will not remember if he had signed 25 or just 20 documents, neither will he remember each individual document and verify that the financial manager really made copies of each single document.

When we received the copies there was no copy of the credit application among them.

(2) In order to be able to alter the information on the credit application without producing a document with 2 different handwritings, Joe Rodriguez filled out the entire document himself.

If he had given the form paper to us, (we both know how to read and write and are able to fill out forms), it would be really easy to see what was written initially and what was added or altered at a later point in time by a different person.

Steven, the man who filed this Rip Off Report did what I did what I told him to do. I told him to contact his auto lender and request a copy of the credit application that the lender received from Airpark Chrysler in N Scottsdale AZ.

Guess what. it is reported that Airpark Chrysler altered Steven's credit application BEFORE they sent it off to Chrysler for a loan approval.

All car buyers that have auto loans where the car dealer got the loan for you should contact your auto lender and REQUEST a copy of the credit application that the lender got from the car dealer.

Many car dealers wait until HAPPY NEW CAR BUY goes home then they fetch a can of White OUT and make some BIG changes to car buyer's credit application before they send them to banks for loan approvals.

Now I ask one and all want to see what a credit app looks like after a misleading/deceptive set of fingers gets a hold of a credit application?

Go to the below URL and take a good look at the first and second photo's in this below Rip Off Report. In this below Rip Off Report, I asked this lady to request a copy of her credit application from her auto lender. She got a BIG FAT surprise in the mail.

www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm

I would like to ask all who read this Rip Off Report do me a big favor. Here in Phoenix we have a TALK RADIO station known as 550 KFYI. They have a talk show host named Bruce Jacobs.

I ask you all to email him at brucejacobs@KFYI.com and ask him why he will NOT chat live on the air about scams in the auto industry. If you are in Phoenix tune him in from 5AM till 8AM and act like you want to talk about his topic and then try to sneak in one question before you hang up.

"Hey Bruce I love your show and I have one question, Why is it that you are NOT WILLING to chat about car dealer Rip Off's"

Contact Bruce Jacobs at KFYI and see if he has he balls to let you Air your car dealer Night mare LIVE on KFYI for all to hear. Call him up. 602-258-5394 and ask him. Trust me he will have Andrew BA Binski hang up on you.

Maybe you want to email him. Go ahead, make my day. Email him at brucejacobs@KFYI.com and ask him why he NEVER chats about New car dealer Rip Offs.

I don't care what state you live in, Email this "Media Mutt" and ask If what Stick says about the auto industry is TRUE! Email him one and all at brucejacobs@KFYI.com and ask him why.

Hey Bruce you and Tara at 3TV Need to hook up and make plans to expose the auto industry.

About a month ago we thought that Airpark Chrysler Jeep's prospective customers should see our sign and parked our van right in front of their business. (On a Saturday afternoon)

After about 45 minutes a manager (Tom Reilly) showed up talked in a very polite and friendly way and promised to resolve the issue.

The last phone call ended in "I have to talk to the owner to ask him to reverse the credit card charges". Nothing has happened since then, not even a phone call.

The next time the van with our message is going to remain in front of their business until someone with a check shows up.
