Airtasker Require payment upfront with no recourse when job is cancelled

Airtasker insist on charging customers upfront when there is no assurance of the task taking place.

In my case the guy who agreed to do the job didnt show up and now its up to me to prove to airtasker that this is the case.

They are offering no refund, no action against the guy who didnt show, no option for me to leave a bad review warning others about this guy and I am $150 out of pocket. My only option is to now pay another $150 to have the job rebooked.

There is NO WAY of contacting Airtasker.

They have no phone support, no live chat, only automated responses on Facebook that send you links to generic forms that don't yeild any response from Airtasker.

I lost an afternoon's work waiting around for an Airtasker who didnt show up and am seeking compensation from this dreadful company.
